Take your time do some reading and find the TD that suits your needs ...ANY TD on this forum is trustworthy and has proved their good business ethic time and time again that's why they have gained the respect of TD "TRUSTED DEALER " on this forum . This hobby is very detail oriented and it's going to take alot of reading to truly understand what it has to offer and what to and not to expect in a replica watch .. happy reading and enjoy the hobby

Wow this look very gen alike
This make me wonder should I sell my V1 and get a V3 , for me is the V1 bezel teeth that bother me

Very nice review, really like the 126600 so may think about the ARF V3...

Very interesting comparison, thanks for this thread OP!
Looking at this, as a non specialist, the easiest tell is the SEL finish, even without the GEN next to it, that would allow me to identify it as a rep.
For the rest I would mostly need the GEN to be next to it to be able to tell, the bezel paint may seem obvious but I suppose it could be mistaken for a dirty gen color.
The window date being the wrong shape seems like an "obvious" tell but you would have to remember the shape of the gen which I didn't.

Along with the SEL finish the other "easy" (relatively) tell that is on most Rolex reps is the hour markers that are not beveled enough, but you have to take a really close look to see that. Same thing with the finish of the hands but you have to look even closer.
There are plenty of other small differences but they are very hard to tell without magnification and very good knowledge of the gen.
All in all ARF did a great job and it would fool me if someone was wearing if it wasn't for the SEL gap that is noticeably not as good as gen (not bad though!).

To be honest Pope, on your wrist, no one is really ever going to be able to spot any flaw. They look obvious and significant in the pics but on a watch, they’re small details. Like the bezel marker? Sure an easy tell from a pic but on a watch the markers are like 3.5mm tall and you’re looking at 1/10 of that to see the markings on a wrist 3 to 10 feet away.

Even with the naked eye it is difficult. Half of the details that I obsess over and that drive me nuts on my watches, I can’t even see with the naked eye while sitting and staring at the watch. I need magnification or a macro shot. Same for the date. It is one of the most obvious features but if you change it, it’s just for you. We’re always are own harshest critics.

Oh, and for what it’s worth, you could be holding a gen and find enough flaws that will convince you it’s a rep without a doubt. Everyone things Rolex is “perfect and flawless” but they’re not. Spend some time on on forums about gen watches and you’ll see people posting some crazy things.

I’ve handed people gens before and said “this is a replica” and they’ll look it over closely and pick out a few random details and then say “oh yeah I can 100% totally tell. Pfft please”.

Noting this is a fairly old thread... The ARF v3 I received last month has very uneven SEL fittings, and they both stick out past the lugs. It's very obvious and number one on the list of things I want to fix. That and the fat CGs.

Yes it is. Head to the Trusted Dealer section and you'll find links to their websites. Visit some of their sites and search for SD43 or 126600. The ARF v3 is still available.

If you haven't checked out the New Members Area, yet, I recommend it.

So I have handeld both V2 and V3.
My opinion is that V2 is the better watch. Case shape is better, SEL fitting is way better. Engravings on the V3 Inlay is too deep. The whorst thing is that the bezel springs are not stainless steel. I fixed some V3 with rusty springs.

Anyway both are nice watches, but I prefer the V2 in every aspect.

Btw. here is mine with gen Crystal, Hyrtelring, Date, Clicksprings, Tube and Crown.

v3 obvious tells on the wrist (i.e., without magnification):
1. Crown guards
2. 12, 6, 9 o'clock markers
3. SELs

I had placed an order for the ARF V3 about a fortnight ago with my TD. He recently informed me that they aren’t available anymore with the factory and they might assemble some more in a few weeks. The TD has fulfilled a couple of my previous orders so I have no reason to not believe him. Just wanted to check if anyone has recently placed an order and received the watch?

Very nice comparison…other than the cyclops being off in terms of magnification ( too much ) this looks great ! .. I’ll take this replica over the gen any time and invest the remaining 13,500 on something worth investing.
