Hi folks,
so it's becoming quite difficult to get gen parts. I've been thinking if one can build a pretty accurate replica using only ARF/Noob/VRF parts? I'm thinking of doing a 116610LN.
I think the best set will be like this:
1. Case - Noob V9 SA3135
2. Movement - Yuki 3135? Or arf sh3135?
3. Hands - ARF
4. Dial - VRF or BP?
5. Datewheel - Noob is good enough?
6. Bracelet - ARF
7. Clasp - ARF too? or is noob better?
8. Crystal - noob? (I know that prof is good, but what about stock crystals?)
9. Insert - VRF?
10. Bezel - Noob?

Let me know what you think!

The very definition of a franken is that it includes gen parts ;) so you may call the above highly modded

One thing to consider, if you try to mix 3 or 4 different watches, you're likely gonna have to buy all of them as parts are usually not sold independently. So you may want to optimize and reduce the number of different watches

With all those money invested, its still a rep.

The whole idea of a franken is to add gen parts. If you add rep parts to a rep, its still a rep. Rep parts will never be as good as gen.

I think for a LN your best solution would be a Noob V9 with ARF bracelet, CF bezel, gen/prof crystal and maybe a gen DW.

This would be an arguably better watch than a possible mix of Noob/ARF/VRF and probably cheaper too.

Sydney, Australia
Datewheel - Noob
Clasp - Noob

but how are you going to source all those rep parts?
I don't think TDs will source you individually...
