ARF Insert Damaged

I have a couple of questions maybe someone can help me out with.

I have been wearing an ARF 116610 LN 904 since it came out. The silver coloring inside of the bezel insert has started to wear away from me dropping a corrosive on the watch. I wiped it off fast, but it unfortunately took some of the coloring out of the numbers in the insert. Is there a way I can repair that myself; should I just purchase a new insert? Can you buy just inserts from TD's?

My second question is: when I received the watch I tried to advance the date and it moved about 3 days forward and then stopped moving completely. I think I may have dislodged the date wheel; is this possible? The date is stuck in between 9 and 10 and nothing will move it.

I would upgrade to a sponge Bob one or a CF one if you need to replace it. Another option is use a sharpie pen, but you have to Re apply it as it comes off.

Regarding the movement to me it looks it it needs servicing and I personally didn't go for 3135 but 2824 is because I had put an ETA in it for reliably as I read 3135 is a bit of a pot luck, servicing a 3135 costs the same for me to buy a gen ETA so is a no brainer for me. I modded my watch to a PCG so the stem height is not an issue for me as my watch no longer looks like a stock sub

Markers on this insert were painted over a year ago. I take care of my watches and never touch the bezels/inserts except to reset them if they get nudged off center. I never get them wet or dirty.

Fantasy combo, I know it's not for everyone, I'm crazy that way.

As you can see in the first pic my datewheel is still stuck in between the 10 and 11 mark. But, I have a gen datewheel in route that I’m going to replace the original with during service next week.

I just finished the first coat. Hopefully I’ll get a few more done tonight. Brilliant idea friend, thanks for the help.

I should’ve sent it back to puretime as soon as I got it. But, I was excited to wear it. Regardless, a service is in order anyway.
