Hi guys, as promised here are some photos of the film with which I'm going to make the cliché to print the disks given in pad printing compared to a genuine date disk. The numbers as you will see are slightly finer when viewed under a microscope, this to remedy the problem that ARF must have had during its productions, as the print always tends to expand with respect to the cliché; this is caused by the pressure of the pad on the piece to be printed. As I had anticipated I preferred to go straight to the V2 of this project instead of going first for a lower quality product. Obviously this has lengthened waiting times. In any case, in the coming weeks I will try to get the time it takes for the various print tests. At this point, I really hope this is a success as the very little free time I have is dedicated to this :)

I would be happy to have your feedback.

See you soon.

Looks quite good bro. The idea of accounting for ink spread is genius! When you say cliche, does that mean the DW surface or is it a template (stencil)? Not familiar with that terminology in this context. Great work!

Looks really nice already, looking forward to seeing your "v2" installed on a watch. Keep us updated with the experiments!

Quite promising! Would a roulette or all red date wheel be possible in the future? That should make a perfect arf datejust oh my I just pictured, amazing, keep it up, already a fan

U.K.
Yes they use the same datewheels

2836 and 2824 have a different datewheel and are not the same as different clearances are needed. They are however the same diameter as each other but the teeth are offset one a 2836.

You are correct sir. I did fail to mention that the 2836 DW has an elevated teeth ring.

Teeth are in the same position relative to the numbers on ETA DWs (2824 in the middle of two 2836s)

So one could use a 2836 DW on a 2824 with a thicker dial spacer. This would allow one to use a 2824 movement in a 2836 case, which is exactly what is done on GMT CHS watches.
