Kobe do you know anything about movement stability compared to other CHS movements that are in market or is it just rebatched old CHS movement.

There is only one CHS modified 2836 movement, A3186 and A3285 is the same movement with different engraving.

All are same, same function, same stability, can't adjust the date to the front date, only can adjust the next date... LOL

Platinum paint is good or too much white?

Not rounded edges on markers
Platinum missing on insert for exemple on the number 2
Separation between blue and RO visible on the 8

Very expensive 700dollars for modified Asian movement. It’s the same like Daytona but Daytona has a real copy of 4130.

Agreed.

This is something I mentioned on another related thread.

Reliable clone movement with a shitty bezel insert is fine with me because I can always franken the insert with a gen or noob insert.

Replacing a broken movement? Living in fear that your piece could break if you do one wrong adjustment? Not worth it. I recently chewed my nails over whether to get CHS or ICHS and after talking to a lot of respected veterans here I came to the conclusion that ICHS was the way to go, period, until a reliable clone movement came along, like the mythical whisper of ARF (a faded dream).

I frankly wouldn't want to pay about $700 for a shiny paperweight.

Tl;dr: Only a reliable clone movement like the Daytona can claim a justified price hike

You're never going to find a gen insert of this. But the Noob insert looks like a viable replacement for the GMF.
Aye, keeping my eyes peeled for a Noob V8 unicorn, and Chrono 24/eBay/RWG/Repgeek/RWI for gen parts should they come up.

One reason I went with the GMF was you made a compelling argument in a 116710 comparison thread a while back. Thanks for that sir.

Edit: this beauty exists https://www.chrono24.com/rolex/part...l-insert-24h-complete-set--id9611453.htm#gref but is out range unless I clear my box

Correct hand stack movements require a very specific way of adjusting, that if you break from, can damage the movement to the extent where replacing it is as costly as the watch.

Everyone has been looking for a proper reliable clone movement and so far there is not one out yet. For now incorrect hand stack is the safest and most reliable bet.

You can have a CHS watch but it's extremely risky.

Puretime just posted it as well, curious on what the experts think. to my eyes it looks great. The question is: are people willing to shell out the additional ~$150 on a *better* bezel (not perfect).

To me it seem to be more close to gen than GMF and DJF... speaking of ceramic bezel and sapphire xtal... not bad...just made the order... let's see!

I am a bit confused with Noob’s recent pricing strategy. They recently released a 904L YM and increased the price to USD 500+, ok I can buy that.

Now they price this GMT II the same as a Daytona which has a super clone 4130 movement (probably the best innovation to come out in the rep world)...How does one justify this price? Is it me or are people ready to shell this much money on this rep?

I've been away from the rep scene for a little bit and just recently returned. But I wonder if part of it is due to the popularity of gen stainless models. I bet people will pay the price, especially those who may not invest as much into researching reps. This is the same CHS movement that will break if you look at it the wrong way. $668 for that is a steep price to pay for what are essentially cosmetic features that are "close."

One day we will end at 1k USD for a high end rep.

Long time ago, some Pam were using same Swiss movement as gen, and I can accept the 6/800$ but now for this price we can get a true gen Asian movement :)
