You're right about the movement itself, I buy ETAs almost exclusively.

The problem with the 2836 though is how much lower the crown sits due to stem height difference. Really noticeable in this view. The 2824 is much closer to gen.

That said, VR3135, SH3135, and 2824 in that order. The use of 2836 at this stage of movement development is just plain sad. As KJ2020 has illustrated, the 2836 crown position is just plain wrong. And if you go with/by the "reliability argument," the use of a 2824 movement (as in ARF's) is the better option to using 2836.

Here's few shots from first patch. Bracelet and dial is total bs. Otherwise I like it! I'm fixing those issues with new dial and ARF bracelet.
Hope that the ZZF can fix those issues for later batches

If you want a perfect Sub you need to buy a gen. It is not realistic (at least at the moment) to get a 100% rep for less than 10% of the retail price of a gen.

I was checking to see if anyone got the ZZF subdate yet or atleast QC photos to see how it compares?

Don't bother .the only good thing is the xtal and maybe the insert

The crystal and CF insert look really nice indeed. That DW is also a great alternative to gen if ZZF wants to sell it separately at a decent price (used as an overlay).

Do you know if I can buy arf 2824 sub and buy zzf datewheel and put in onto the arf sub? And if possible would that need lot of modding or just a simple putting onto the other one?

it's doable of course, you can install the zzf 2836 DWO (overlay) on the arf 2824
but you can't do it yourself
