I dont know about "gen like" but in the past the 2836 movement I have had with GMT gear work and can be set to any time zone.

The GMT hand on the 2836 is separately movable at crown position 2. Clockwise is date quickset, anti-clockwise is GMT hour jump. This is actually considerably more convenient than the gen. The gen does not have a separately movable GMT hand. Instead, the hour hand jumps in one hour increments at crown position 2 and changing the date requires 24 jumps of the hour hand, forward or reverse. Both arrangements allow you to create a time offset between local and GMT (or an 2nd time zone).
The 2836 has an InCorrect Hand Stack (ICHS), as the GMT hand is in the bottom of the stack. There is much more to learn about Rolex GMT models, movements, and hand stacks. This is just a very brief answer which applies fully to most 5 and 6 digit model GMT II's, less so to 4 digit models.
If you're intending to get it modded, you could always get the rehaut "neutered" at the same time, most modders can do it.

But I wanted the dial so my double whammy turned into a double bonus. That LF "16710" came in a 116710 case with a 5 digit bezel, say what?

Which model/movement were you asking for? Mine came without the rehaut engraving.

Nembo is getting me the 23 jewel BP16710 hopefully it's the DG3804. Said he could get it but now he cant
Ryan is getting me the A2836 BP 16710, I'm just waiting for my ID to clear at Coinbase. Excellent and Fast communication.
TSWatch you can order and they say they have it but then I get no payment info or price including shipping and bitcoin discount.
Sead says this watch is not available.

They must have just run out then - sead got my Coke (a few pages back) in October. KJ2020 driving demand...

Hey mate lovely review I’m going to grab this BP Pepsi 16710, quick question... did you happen to know what the dial size is I have a Swiss eta 2836 CHS with noob dial that’s been running for about 6 years lol. I’m planning on putting it in the case with some mods.
just to clarify I’m confused with others info on here.
does it have gen style bezel construction and take gen crystal? Thanks buddy

Damn that's a nice one. It's been recently brushed and polished, lot of wear on the clasp crown and bracelet links show plenty of use but I'd take one like that any day over one beat to hell. The refinisher really knew what they were doing the lug ends are stellar.
