Ok, so I may have screwed up. Here's the watch I bought. I didn't see that other watch in my initial search, but does this mean that bpf modified the inside of the case to fit a legit clone, or does this mean a clone could actually be swapped into any of these without modification? Sorry for these probably stupid questions.

You did order the 2836 ICHS. Nothing wrong with that, I have several myself. It's a great safe movement that you won't be facing issues with like you are with your 216570 CHS timebomb. Yes the newer BP model with a true clone SA3186 would have a modded interior. An ETA or DG case is not compatible without some modding.

Thanks for all the helpful information! I've been looking for a nice super jubilee that'll fit these bp cases. Not sure where to start looking.

Regarding slim case back. I believe the newer versions of BP 16710 have a different case back.

For my version the case back of this set fit perfectly!

Guys, to have an acceptable 16710, should I take a case from noob and put all the bp factory block (dial hand movement) in it? So would I have something acceptable? I already own an old noob.

Ragazzi, per avere un 16710 accettabile, dovrei prendere una custodia da noob e metterci tutto il blocco (movimento delle lancette del quadrante) bp factory? Quindi avrei qualcosa di accettabile? Possiedo già un vecchio noob.
Perhaps you should try in english ;)

Hi guys, just received this watch today and I'm a bit disappointed by the movement-it has a quickset date and the GMT hand jumps rather than the hour hand.
Can anyone identify the movement please?

You may have your stem in the wrong position to change the hour setting. In the first position you wind the watch, in the second position you can set the hour hand, in the third position you set the date by turning the crown one way and you set the GMT hand by turning the crown in the opposite direction.

I think you have a Hangzhou 6460 AUTOMATIC MOVEMENT Based in ETA 2836-2 GMT Movement. It's a good movement.

Thanks, there is definitely no facility to jump the hour hand in any crown position or direction.

If it makes you feel any better the clone movement you can get in these is a SA and isn't great
That doesn’t make me feel any better 😉
What are the options for a decent 3185 or 3186 clone?
I’m guessing this case is unique to an ETA?

Get a BP 16710 SA3186, then swap out the SA for a VR3186.

That case is not unique to only ETA. You can swap in a VR3186, I did it no problem when I built one. If you wish to swap to the VR3186 in your current watch, you will need new hands, and new dial(or modify existing dial). A very thin movement spacer will also need to be made, we're talking about 0.2mm in thickness. Shorter movement tabs as well.

The only other options are to get a vietnam case, or the recent Ebay case, and build a watch from the ground up. BP is the only factory making 16710s OOTB.

Thanks for that-food for thought!
