BP 16613 Bluesy - need some input

Hey gang,

I'm in the market for a Bluesy - and from what i've read, the bp's seem to be quite good. I don't mind the SELs not plated on the sides, so that's not an issue for me.

However, do you know if there's a new version out? I found this one here (link to non-td):

Both seem to be available / in stock, the latter also with different movement options. But i really would like to know your opinion about these - which one would you opt for? Or are both the same and someone messed up the pics? Hell, it's too hot today.. anyways, back to work.

Hey bro, BP did recently release 6 new 16613/16619s.

3 FG, 3 TT, blue, champagne serti and slate serti. TSW has them all. I think the two you linked are the same watch, that is to say I think you would get the same watch from any TD you sent either link to.

I think they look pretty good, I have ordered the TT slate serti one with 2836, sent the TSW link to my TD.

Heres approved QC pics, the 12 marker is slightly crooked but I gave my TD a rough time with a previous order so I accepted it. I can fix it.

Thanks. Pardon my oversight. Do Asian 2813 and 3135 (same as [FONT=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]Asia Clone 3135?[/FONT][FONT=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]) [/FONT]have ETA dimensions? I was hoping that the Asian 3135 would be the same size as my Cal. 3135, which would then only leave the bezel and SEL to worry about. The crown should be OK, or I'll just get a new tube. Can one look-up the actual sizes of these movements and case dimensions anywhere. Dealers don't seem to be overly willing or able to provide info.

Only a true SA or SH 3135 will have case that can take a gen movement and even then there may be some mods needed. An A3135 is just an ETA with a fake deco plate to make it look like a 3135.

Roger that, thanks. Looks like I might have to settle for an ST case with holes for now.

Certainly. Thanks for confirming that. In fact, to really make the hunt more challenging, it has to be an F-serial or late Y-serial, as the earlier models have lug holes, and later ones have engraved rehauts, correct? However, I guess it will be considerably easier to sand down the rehaut than it would be to make the holes disappear. That said, ST offer a case with holes and no rehaut engraving for $175; very tempting ...

Some info here. Personally I like the lug holes. Add SEL and you've got a winner. JF case has no lug holes and can be gotten without rehaut engraving.

Yep. That's precisely why JF was recommended to me. However, with such support for it, I could be swayed to go with a holy case, but I'm not sure I'm religious enough, and I really could cultivate my patience rather than just throwing Dollars at it. I just added Super-LumiNova hands to my collection, so I've already greatly narrowed down which dial I can use. Any idea what year SL replaced LumiNova?

Thanks. That's good to know. In a perfect world, dealers would just list the dimensions or even technical drawings. Regarding the internal dimensions, with Diameter 25,60 mm

and Height 5,05 mm one could 'just' remove material to fit the Cal. 3135's 28.50 mm in diameter and 6.00 mm in height. Is there anyone willing and able to perform such work on a watch like the ones linked by OP?
