No way that left Rolex like that. They have machines that scan every watch for defects, so that would have missed it as well as the 10 + people who would have handled it prior to it going to an AD. Then the AD missed it, plus all the staff that handled it, plus the buyer? Highly unlikely.

If that's indeed a gen that was sold by an AD (or sent to one for sale) it will be worth quite a lot someday.

Apparently it’s real and it was bought from a Rolex AD. BUT it’s possible that someone swapped the “3” marker after they bought it. I’ve seen new Rolex subs with misaligned rehaut engravings and stuff but nothing as crazy as a dial with the wrong number glued onto it.
