Which version from Noob is this?

I recently acquired a secondhand Noob (I think V8).. Had the insert platinum modded.. Blue color looks good, and the 'speed bump' isn't as bad as some I've seen. I think it varies from batch to batch..

In any case I may try to source a GMF insert to check how it compares.. Will post results

Of course nothing can match gen 100% though.. Just a battle of which factory offers the least obvious flaws.

Apparently there is a CHS 3186 DJ Factory Batman and Pepsi out now. Hopefully the movement will make it to GMF reps also cos DJ and GMF are related.

I dont have a link, just got informed by a friend who loves in China. The DJ 3186 is the same one as Noob's CHS. He also said that GMF will have a 3285 movement ready in July. Not sure if its an entirely new movement or its based on the 2836 like the Noob CHS. But I think it will just be an edited version of the DJ 3186 with different engraving to show 3285 on the movement.

Just for general info, the A3186 is based on a 2824, not a 2836. That means the stem height and crown position are closer to gen, and also means the movement is not replaceable by the ICHS 2836 when it breaks.

So apparently GM has released some GMT with the CHS movement. Most probably the same as the DJF and Noob CHS movement. So sign of Jubilee yet but i guess it will come next.

As soon as you receive it you need to read up on how not to kill the movement, and handle it with kid gloves otherwise you’ll end up with a $400 paperweight.

Sorry, did not understand you. I am not going to touch it. As I understand, it's gonna come with the movement directly from GMF. The guy I buy from asked if I wanted the optional 3187 movement. He said "GMF also can supply it with the clone 3187 movement now". And the price went up form $438.00 to $508. I decided to trust him and pay the extra $70.00.

The ETA clone GMT works beautifully but the handstack won’t be correct. I don’t think this is a huge issue; most people will never notice or even know what the correct handstack is.

"ETA clone GMT" you mean the 3187 or the asian 2836-2?
