Amazing work. Looks great. There should be a lot more of these. It is a simple job and amazing results.

Only thing I did different was I used a real 3135 not a Yuki. I am happy to see that the yuki worked. I had full faith it would. The 3135 and the 3175 are so close and exact size. Just a few parts differences and none too hard to change.

Great work and enjoy the results.

Spectacular result! Great combination of community knowledge, skills, and committment to perfection bringing together a watch that has set a new standard.

Congrats!

I wonder if you could explain a little more about the 16610 case needing to be heavily laser welded. Thanks!

Nice build, looks great!

Can I ask where you purchased your Gen spec case from?

Sure,

the submariner case uses a 7mm crown and the gmt uses a 6mm.

You need to add metal to the top of lugs and inside the lugs to give the right look and fill the MM difference in crown space.

Amazing. Can you post some shots of the CGs and crown from the side and back? And any chance you have pics of the case work in progress? This makes me wonder if laser welding is finally at a point where it can be used to build up over-polished crown guards.
