I want to buy an hulk and I'm trying to decide which one. Did a lot of reading here but it only got me more confused.
I'm not going to mod it.
I prefer an Eta clone since they're more reliable and I don't really care if date change and hour setting are different from gen.
Also it doesn't bother me if colors are not 100% accurate and if it is not 904L

What really really annoys me are crooked hour markers and crooked bezel markers, also I cannot stand those thick date fonts.

Which one would be my best bet?

I'd get the vrf max / noob, have seen many arf with thick date fonts

Here's my max 2836, for me it's an ok stop gap until I buy gen / franken

Just discovered the VRF has the wrong magnification on the cyclop. That totally ruins it for me. I'm more for the arf right now.

Bought two other watches in the meantime but still trying to figure out which Hulk is the best.
Btw mt gf saw my last rep now she wants a Rolex too, so probably this Hulk is gonna be hers!

VRF MAX is good ootb. Magnification is too small I guess 2x instead of 2,5x. Get a prof black hole crystal in it and you’re done.
If not keep it stock. There are some gen Rolex out with this mag issue, too.

Rustyrust that‘s not the stock VRF crystal?

Here is an example of a gen Rolex with the mag issue:

Is that an aftermarket crystal or gen? 99% of people here would call it out as a fake

This is a completely gen GMT Master from a gen watch forum. It was purchased new from an authorized dealer 4 years ago. The buyer contacted Rolex and got the info it‘s a normal variation.
After 4 years he is still not satisfied and decided to let change the crystal by Rolex.

U.K.
Rolex went through a period of this happening with the magnification on the cyclops. Don’t seem to see any these days.
