DAYDATE 40 MM. Thoughts on nowadays releases?

Hi All,

Just considering to pull the trigger on a Daydate.

As far as read through the forum, I understood clones with 3255 are not as good as Swiss 2836 because of the movement reliability.

Also, I am wondering what between Rose Gold and Gold is considerable as more gen-like?

What are the major issues in general which are noticeable and should stop me from this and considering perhaps on going in a different way?

Hi! I think the main concern is about durability of gold plating. If you want day date, take it as 'white gold', so you can wear it on a everyday basis.

P.S. Green dial differs from gen. Take a look on a silver aka white dials.

The 3255 is just a "prettier" 2836 movement (it's just decorated to look like the 3255). A waste if you have a closed caseback IMO.

I'm debating to get 40MM DD from Trusty (BP with 2836) or Puretime (Noob with 3255). So you think it's wiser to go with 2836? BP is $50.00 cheaper then Noob..
