For me, this is the best rep of all time mine is still going and it is very accurate the only problem is the chronograph drains the power reserve very quickly.
Without a doubt the 4130 must have been the most complicated Rolex movement apart from the sky dweller that could have been replicated. Add the original steel mix, and you have to get into macro photography plus in-depth detail. The thing that brings me the most joy about this watch is the fact that it works and continues to work with damn near perfect accuracy. I have quite a few genuine's, and I think this is the most accurate Rolex I have!!! FFS it's insane.
I think this watch is a turning point for the industry if you watch this video by that weird guy he explains the hoops you have to go through to get a steel Rolex now. In my opinion, Rolex is making a big big mistake with this psychological thing they are doing. I am fortunate enough to travel around a bit, and I find it incredible that wherever you go whichever authorised dealer, you visit you are met with the sea of bicolour Datejust's a few precious metal presidents in 36 and maybe the odd 40, but that's it. The authorized dealers must be exploding with rage at Rolex when you have reps that are this good if they can sort out the GMT it's going to be an earthquake.
It would be interesting to know how me time today somebody who has just got a big bonus or sold their house blah blah blah walks into a Rolex dealer and says "I would like to buy a stainless steel Daytona, my good man?"
"Like the one on your billboard advertisement". And AD says sorry can't do it. You can't even buy your way up the list any more someone at Rolex is playing a hazardous game.
Sub- Mariners and Daytona's are now near on perfect.
My prediction is that only precious metal watches will go up in value soon because you cannot replicate gold and the weight that gold has. Once this all trickles down into the market, it's going to be all over for the stainless steel sports thing.
