¡Hola! I am thinking on changing the hands set of my Ginault (blue bezel, gold sand lume) from the milsub ones to regular mercedes hands. Or at least the seconds hand (I am not quite fond of the red seconds hand, to be fair).

The "problem" is that Ginault hands are actually really good! I would patiently wait and source proper TC hands, but I need them with yellow/vintage lume, so that's not an option.

I can't find many alternatives at that same quality level and I am rounding it down to a few options here:

Yuki: http://www.yukiwatch.com/catalog/item/6960394/7061069.htm

Alt. changing red seconds hand to the period correct arrow seconds: http://www.yukiwatch.com/catalog/item/6960394/10321796.htm

Ruby's: http://rafflestime.com/submariner-watch-hands-for-eta-2824-2836-merc-vintage/

WSO (eBay): https://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-WA...46-2-SILVER-/160697183352?hash=item256a4c6c78

At a first sight, the ones from WSO are clearly the worst, and funny enough they are the most expensive (55 bucks for that?!?!).

I can't find a mercedes hands set with yellow/vintage lume at Raffles Dials, so it all goes down to Yuki or Ruby's, but the photos aren't the best ones ever. Anyone has used any of these sets or has experience sourcing high level hands sets other than these sites? Thanks so much!

not familiar with ginault but if it has a 2824..use ARF 2824 hands. Best hands that look close to gen 116610

Thanks buddy, I would certainly go for these ones as I agree, they are the absolute best. But unfortunately I can't as they have white lume (and glow blue). It has to be yellow/vintage lume and green glow, as I mentioned in my original post.

Edit: FYI, Ginault is a 5-digit sub, the latest iteration of the legendary TC Sub. The (non-confirmed) rumour is that TC left the replica business and set up Ginault to go legit, and the Ginault Ocean Rover is regarded as sort of TC v8.

I doubt you're going to find anything to match the gold sand lume as it's significantly different from any other of the so-called aged lume.

Good luck in your Quest though.

I would recommend to search the best eta Sub hands availible and relume them matching the dial. Really good hands only were available from TC. Remaining rest is so and so.

Blue lume, correct size and shape:

Green lume, skinnier shape and seconds hand 0.5mm shorter:

You‘re right, Ginault‘s hands are really really good. Very high polished. So are the indicies. Reluming the new hands to „gold sand lume“ should be done by a pro.

Maybe you want to look here. Depends on where you‘re located:

And forget about WSO‘s parts. Standard quality overpriced!

Thanks a lot Smpfan this is quite useful indeed, I can't believe I forgot about Helenarou. Will get in touch with them as maybe they already have yellow lumed hands.

I also forgot about William at Tiger-Concept, actually! I have a bond Sub from him and the hands are pretty decent (see photo), and the lume should not be a problem on the seconds hand as it's very similar. My only concern is that he only has hands for 2813/Miyota 8215/Miyota 9015, so they won't fit a 2824...

Being that is only the seconds hand and the amount with lume is really small, I might just get two or three sets and install the seconds hand that looks better...

That Ginault is really a beauty.

Thanks buddy! It is indeed and it looks way better in the flesh, still haven't seen a photo that does it justice. This one on their website is amazing:

Yes this blue gold version looks amazing!

Would also be interested how the version with BGW9 lume would turn out after changing hands to RLX style and adding a green LV bezel.

I‘m so sure TC stands somewhere behind Ginault. Even Ginault spare parts are delivered in the white round plastic boxes we know from TC...

Well, Bark and Jack did a review of a Ginault with those same specs that was sent to him by John himself. Check this out, I think it's a beauty: https://youtu.be/NEety19AopY

Damn...why do you show me this? Needs only a handset. Or at least a polished seconds hand.

Like this very much.

Well well, some updates right here:

- Helenarou dagger hand
- Phong 5517 milsub insert (had to sand it a little bit to fit the 16610-spec bezel)
- Black RAF nylon strap

Close-up (because for some reason I can't upload hi res images):

Next: I've got a Phoenix G10 strap in admiral grey incoming, will post photos.
