Great. I bought the Chinese bezel to update my noob v8 with too dark color. How about?

KJ2020 smoke hi guys I was wondering if you could help me. I’ve purchased what was said to be a gen insert and bezel assembly from TRF. Paid a pretty penny only to discover the bezel isn’t gen. The seller is now saying the insert is real but wasn’t sure about the bezel. I’ll try and upload pics please tell me your thoughts on the insert. Some pics are of it next to the eBay insert. Maybe you uploaded them to picr.me already and are trying to upload the same pic again. I do that occasionally. Modify the pic a little, change the size or crop it differently, any small thing. Then try to upload it again.
I tried, it won’t even upload one photo, keeps saying files to big, but I literally posted photos the other day for a sale post and worked fine
I’ll keep trying, but just out of curiosity how is the pearl applied on the genuine? Is it pressed in with no adhesive?

mnkoshka, I can see your pictures and doubt that this is gen, although I’m not an expert in here.
Just purchased a gen for myself and was also in doubt because of a comment of my watch smith. However, did some research and also Smoke confirmed that mine seems genuine.
I figured out that there seem to be 3 things that no rep has correct so far (all together at the same time, I mean):
- nice apple green color which can’t be really captured on pictures (some versions had very good color, but it seems that there is even different color versions in gen ones)
- pressed pearl with tiny dot on backside, some aftermarket ones (e.g. from my watch Smith offer) and maybe ARF has this as well but others don’t
- nicely centered pearl with perfect alignment to triangle (don’t know which rep is closest in here but VRF and ARF seem to be little wrong, either too small or too low...)
Here is a comparison with an eBay insert and Noob v9 one. Sometimes really close IMO but both have weaknesses. One is better under artificial light, the other one looks better in daylight, one has better pearl than the other etc. etc. If I look at VRF and ARF (pictures only, because I don’t have them), it’s seems that they do also have their strengths and weaknesses. None seems to have „everything“ like gen. Just my opinion

There was a low post seller dhmrs on trf that sold a gen hulk bezel with insert that look suspicious it sold yesterday I think for insane money.the pics were very poor in dark lighting and looks like possible craks in the 35 and 45 marker but it could be Dirt I was immediately supsious because everyone is selling fake parts and watches on trf on a daily basis.whem asking for clear pics in good light would not respond
the insert looks kind of real real even in the super almost black looking pics of the ceramic but could be a sponge.but the pearl looks big and weird and the bezel assembly may not be gen as he won't show the scallops from the side.the gen is sharp with a bling like down the middle of each tooth.plus the bezel is missing the other parts

Mate I bought it for a little less. I was about to do a build so sacrificed my bank account lol. You’re right the pics of the bezel had a nice sheen but I got too excited. I compared it with the eBay bezel and it looked close. The back of the pearl has an exposed back where you can see how the Lume was put in. I wonder what factory it from. Literally had to get a loupe on it to see it wasn’t gen. Colour wasn’t bad at all
I kinda knew instantly when I removed the bezel insert to find double sided tape
im in discussions now with TRF and the seller. He said he bought it of someone else and is claimed he’ll refund me once I ship it back. TRF did mention he was a reputable seller and hadn’t had any issues before

I thought after being on a life time I would have picked it lol. Seems like this seller was taken as well hopefully he does the right thing by me

There are only like 4 or 5 legit sellers on trf that i know, I keep telling you guys to stop buying crap over there unless you know what your doing. The Rolex forum mods are allowing people trusted sellers and low post count sellers to keep selling fakes as gen .they even have a watch out section.and if you add links to all the trusted sellers from the forum that have sold tons of fake parts and watches into the watch out section you get banned by the forum.what does that tell you

Like I said stop buying bs from the top rated scammers and sellers.i should charge a authenticication service I would be rich jeez.anyway just call pay pal the mods at the Rolex forum will not believe you anyway and will side with the scammer.so just get the money back.and learn as a lesson .so many of you have been scammed recently on trf and when they contact try mods they only trust the trusted scammer .thing is there are no experts there on that forum not 1 i can think of cam spot rep vs gen parts or even really good reps or Franken that are being sold there
