Sorry if this is in the wrong area.... I want to purchase Rolex items from a seller in the UK, items are over 3K in value. Is there a work-around to avoid import and VAT? Shipping to a third party in Europe, perhaps, who can then ship to me???

Ideas welcome...

Where are you based? UK like your buyer? I don't think that you can claim vat between UK an EU. Outside of EU would be safer, but when re importing you'll need to indicate a low value of goods and that's a risk with customs

Put it in a box and ship it. The less attention you bring to it, the better. They're just watch parts after all.

That's what I thought... but seller is in UK and brought import/VAT fees to my attention!

Agree worth theREALgoat, just ship it low value, tracked and signed. Insurance isn’t worth shit so the only thing you’re going to get out of declaring the $3k is either a thieves attention or some tax to pay
