Hello,

I'm so into moding right now that I want to share my build and if someone has some advice what to change and fix please tell me.

so my build is

if 16610 with drilled holes
sh 3135
gen crystal no are
gen insert
gen crown
gen spider dial

So far I did opened the watch and oiled all the gaskets and pressure tested it to 9 bars its holding up great.

Polished bezel scallops, sides of the case, crown and insert.
Chamfered the clasp per gen specs
Fixed uneven brushing on the bezel.
shaved SELs so all have same size

future upgrades :

movement service with a lot of gen parts for reliability
gen data disc for correct period
gen tritium hands

beautiful build! you should swap out the bracelet for a 93150 to really get that older sub feel. Who drill your lug holes btw?

The older bracelets should fit fine since the end links are folded and easy bend slightly so that you can get them to conform to the lugs

Nice work mate! Do you know if this bracelet will fit in a 5513 case?

Question: I have a 16610 with the tinny bracelet, my SEL’s sit a bit too high (more flush with lugs) do you mean there is a way I can manipulate it to move it down very slightly to get that more gen look? Thanks

Nice dial- it's a Beyeler 1984-5 for a 16800.

He’s talking about bending hollow end links rather than the solid ones

The 'new' bracelet looks more suitable for this built, very nicely done!

Thanks mate, the solid ones have definitely more "heavyduty" feel but this one is correct for my period. Gonna leave the watch to misieped for gen open 6&9 vintage data wheel and vintage tritium hands and full service with gen parts. The watch gonna be waterproofed to 10atm too :)

Nice job- you've combined a nice spider dial with the vintage 93150 bracelet and the JF case with lugholes for a vintage sub look. Good luck with Misiekped- hopefully he doesn't have to replace too many parts. Lately I've read about changing the DW, and the reversing wheels, plus servicing the movement since it's dirty. Hopefully after that you'll have a good movement.

Superb one! I'm building a similar one but with a Startime Swiss Made case. You did a great job! :clap_1:
