So I purchased a gen crystal and a rep crystal. Is there a way for me to tell the quality of the AR on the cyclops vs the one that is installed on the watch from the ARF factory?

Yes, I think thats the only difference, gen cyclops does look different but only from certain angles.

Incorrect.. will vary depending on batch variation, but not nearly as bad as ARF. I’ve noticed 2016-17 gen models (sub and GMT) have a high occurrence. My 2018 gen is fully transparent tho. Got the call from AD for my GMT which I’ll be picking up this weekend, we’ll see how that looks.

Did your crystal height change with the Gen crystal installed? Magnification is smaller now. Did you use the same ARF gasket?

No, that’s true. Just don’t want the OP to get the impression that if there’s a blue hue, it’s a rep. It’s why in this regard, prof black hole crystals can occasionally have a better look that some gen variations. This doesn’t seem to bother the guys in the gen world, we’re the only ones who notice lol

Recently got a gen Ym and compared the crystal with my prof submariner, clarity/ strength of AR was better on prof crystal.
