Interestingly these two were based on noob 116505 rose gold models. They were decoloured to get rid of the gold coating, then properly polished& brushed.

so how did you decolour it then? Just use some proper polish treatment?

Can you please share the reference #'s for these dials? Thanks!

Go on Chrono24 and search Daytona dial under parts and accessories. There are a few for sale. They are not cheap though!!

Theres currently a black one for $750 from New Zealand that’s a great price

I am beyond baffled how lucky all you other guys are with the gen hands fitting properly!

Just got a call from my watchsmith saying that the Gen hour hand fits, and so does the Gen long sweeping chrono hand, but that the Gen minute hand is “too loose” so he’s got to mod the hole to be tighter so it can fit properly... Has this happened to anybody?
Is this a technically feasible issue?

Or can he be pulling my leg to get me to pay more for a service thats not necessary?

Also, he said that the gen subdial hands have too small holes and that the pinions just reject them.

Micasol and JohnnyDepp says this is a common occurance so I guess I just gotta swallow this one.

He said they “pop out” ... but one of them fits, but too deep. He recommends that we keep the subdial hands as Noob.

Sigh, might just put this up for m2m since it hurts my soul to look at a almost perfect franken but have the subdial hands be a dead immediate give away.

Yes bro that’s happened, you have to know that on gen 4130 the minute hands don’t fit in the hours wheel like on the noob one but on the canon pinion of the minute wheel.
So sometimes the minutes hands will not properly fit in and need or to be mod or fit the noob one.

Same things happen on chrono hands subdials, reason why on all my Franken build I changed all the rep wheels by gen, so like this all gen hands fit in perfectly.

Building a Franken is not something easy, most of time you need to mod gen or rep parts to allow properly alignment and fitting.
Even if the SH is a clone of gen, finish of SH parts are not the same quality than gen, reason why could be a nightmare to build a Franken.

Here’s the second gen mainplate I received today, so my second gen 4130 movement will be ended by end of this week, still waiting for some gen parts to arrive.

The ice green still not finished, waiting the gen racing hand set, hope on Wednesday, once done will post pics, it’s the most insane build I have ever done, full gen new movement rebuild, gen pushers, crown, hands, gaskets, crystal, case shaved, band brushed and oiled, aftermarket brown ceramic bezel, dial modded with gen baguette diamonds index noob coronet and time point 3/6/9, gen platinum box. Wait and see, coming soon.

Which Everest strap do you have?

No idea it came with the watch on m2m

This is Franken number 2, shitty noob bezel and dial replaced with gen as well as the crystal, gasket, crown and hands.

Going to get the movement serviced, rehaut, case and pushers plated, smarty end links and clasp plated.

Franken number 1, almost there now. Gen hands, crystal and gasket, ARF dial and bezel. 12.35mm.

Since I got a load of parts left over I'll do probably two more, a fantasy two tone ARF SS case, chocolate dial, gold hands and movement with BP wrapped gold bezel. Hoping the BP pushers amd crown fit the ARF case.

That will leave me with a noob 116520 bezel, 2 noob 116500 bezels, 2 noob 116500 dials, a BP 116520 case and a black 116500 ARF dial. Maybe if I can grab some more spares I'll finish that and sell it or just list the parts.
