Yep, BP makes them, but not the five digits, just the six digit 36mm. The only "tell" beyond the weight is really the day wheel font and misalignment

I’ve also been looking, regrettably passed up a TW with gen bezel and dial on m2m at a great price.

ive seen this which states thicker wrapped gold then all the rest.

I am also looking for a 18038 / 18238 Day-Date but without success.
The one from Silix looks good, but I think the main problem ist the plating. Also the Datewheels font looks wrong but for this price it could be ok.

I am thinkijg about to build one and sourcing Gen parts, but main problem is the case

I requested this model at Michelle from Silix
This model is now only available with Rehaut engraving .... so also big problem for this model. The GEN's 18038/18238 have all no engravings at Rehaut :-(
So sand it off would than be the next problem - than the watch should be replated in this area.

This model is no opinion in my mind with the Rehaut engraving.

Nivka Yes, raffles cases are an opinion.
But the raffles cases needs also rework at the rehaut when you want to use a GEN dial.
Raffles has a good price when you buy all parts from them and build them a vintage Day-Date with the look of a 18038 / 18238

I got one from silix Economy range which isn't too bad , but ultimately bought the full raffles set to build one myself. just not braved it yet Haha

Are you using a GEN dial for your build? I think the GEN dial would be top notch and be an important part.

I've not unpacked it all yet to check the case but I don't care for the engraving as its hidden anyway ! , I wasnt planning to use gen dial as didnt think it would be worth it as there are bigger flaws but have to admit I've been very tempted.
