ARF with gen DW, Crystal + mod+service cost and you're golden. But that can be quite "expensive" as well, at least compared to the OOTB DJF.

The ARF bezel is 100% rhodium plated. And for those who say that ARF V2 Datewheel has improved.. there's still a long way to go it's shit.

I don't buy it that rep bezels are rhodium plated. Even if true, rhodium plating doesn't last and wears off easily and relatively quickly.

hi guys i am trying to understand which one is better, the arf or djf. reading all the pages i couldn't decide? there is a big price difference, the arf movement needs to be serviced and the arf datawheel is very bad. what else can you tell me?

The ARF is a much better finished watch overall.

I really doubt the DJF or the ARF are plated

I think they technically are (we are talking microns purely for initial visual effect here) but bear in mind gold plating isn't really gold in the rep world. My dj is showing signs of rhodium wear, not revealing yellow gold, but more likely an alloy consisting of a tiny amount of actual gold and mostly palladium or more likely nickel.

The djf is fine if you're happy with a good looking watch that most people won't even bat an eyelid at.

If you want to Franken then ARF is the way to go, but I agree the SH3135 is a tiresome movement that is costing me a fortune to keep running. Roll on mass production of the vr3135

Looks really good except for the bezel, that's the trouble with rhodium plating, always have to re-do it.

Almost year old BP Daydate, I'm guessing no rhodium plating

Aesthetically I can't seem to spot any visual differences apart from the fat font on the ARF too. Any input?

Haven't held the ARF but you're simplifying it too much. You need to service the movement so add 150 to 200 to whatever the cost you have in your head is. Also might need Gen reversing wheels so add another 150. Arf is way better if you want to pay the extra cash, but the two are incomparable if you're concern is cost.
