Sh3135 on a 2836 case

Good day. Just a question. Would a sh3135 fit a 2836 case? Want to transplant my franken to the new vrf ym if that is possible. Thanks.

Not really, there's a big difference in stem heights.

It can be done if the stem is long but puts a lot of stress on the keyless works and the stem - which usually end up breaking.

Is it a lot more of a difference than putting a Rolex 1570 into a eta 2846 case like an old MBW? I have a 1570 in my MBW 1665 and the stem alignment is def off but it’s not too bad. If the 3135 is further off then it def wouldn’t work. I was thinking about putting an SH3135 into my MBW 16610...but the crown sits a bit lower than a Gen 16610 case.

A difference of 0.2 mm is OK, you can go up to a maximum of about 0.3 mm - but that is really pushing it if the stem is on the short side.

1570/2846 is OK, I doubt the 3135 would go in the MBW 16610 case though.

Not too many 1570’s around these days. I liked when you could but a date model for $1000 and take the movement and sell the rest on eBay. Now they are a small fortune in comparison. I won’t even bother with the 3135 mbw idea then. Thanks for the info!
