Really? I just ordered the ARF because I've always heard the "feel" is very close to gen

ARF construction is closer to gen but it feels lighter by touch. Noob isn’t far behind, if they get the sel right and the clasp to open and close easier, they tie. Noob feels solid on the touch and seem to feel heavier or seems like more is there. That’s the best way I can describe them. Hands down right now ARF wins...Hope that helps.

Arf clasp is really good, glide lock is smooth, click n engaged as gen. But it feel lighter compare to gen, I had tried Arf links to fit my gen bracelet and it won't fit, ARF links center piece is slightly larger compare to gen. I had also tried to fit Arf to gen case, it doesn't fit as well.

is there a version of this bracelet with a polished mid-link? I want that same kind of SEL fitment for my GMT

i'm assuming the sub case and gmt case are more or less the same? or at least the lugs?

I believe ARF will be coming out with a 904L 116622, that might work. They also have a 316L version out already.

I'm nearly certain that it would. I don't believe there's a difference in the case between the Noob v8 and v9.

The shape is identical. Supposedly the V8 is 316L, V9 is 904L. Reality is they could actually be completely identical and we just get upcharged. I have both and cannot see any difference whatsoever.

The v8 is also 904 I had one lying around here still in plattic
the v9 came out with the correct lugs and sel for 1 batch only .not sure what the current v9 looks like not seen any qc pics for a while now

Interesting, maybe that's why I can't see any difference. All the TD sites still list the V8 as 316F/L, the main reason for the quick shift to V9 was the metal "upgrade". Wish I had gotten a 1st batch V9, those are the only ones with the nice SELs. I think we are just getting price gouged on this whole 904L thing.

Some info on steel grades. I know there were some tests published here when 904 first started being used in reps, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Chinese aren't following the composition of 904 very closely at all. And I would also bet that although it may look slightly different to some, it isn't costing them much or anything more to make than the 316. Better corrosion and bleach resistance? Maybe, but I don't need either. Worth $100 or more extra? Not to me.

The tds changed the title saying 316 a year after the v8 was being sold as 904 remember the v8 has 904 written all over the plastic .But not all tds changed it some kept it real and continued selling the v8 as 904 because it is 904

Yes I do remember there being a lot of confusion between those two versions. If the V8 is claimed to be 904 then there is no difference at all between it and the second and subsequent batches of the V9. So why would anyone pay more for a V9, IDK. Hell the lug engraving on my V8 no date says 116610 not 114060. I mean it is the exact same case. They just charged a lot more for the V9.
