I used a plastic one that comes with cheap datejust. 2840 from swatch has no holes to mount screws.

I think I saw a build thread where yodog did some voodoo to get a 2840 mounted in either a genspec or 2824/2836 case.

I think it was a thread by tripdog installing a Swiss ETA from a Swatch into a nice Rolex Rep case.
He was using "two rings" on in the mid-case and the "counter-ring" on the caseback
Cannot find the link now....

Thank you for the tip. yup, I ordered those plastic ones from a month ago and I am still waiting for them to arrive.
If that doesn't work, then I know that I will need to order a 2813 21j cheapie and take its plastic movement ring out
