Bravo!! You finally did get around to building yourself a 5513 and a Franken! Job well done congratulations to you my friend. :applause:

Thanks bud! I finally have it done and it feels so good. I was hoping it would feel like a 3135 to wind but it’s not as smooth. Still a lot better than any eta though. Such an expensive build though. I almost could’ve got a gen explorer II for the cost. Still worth it though.

Here's a 5513 I built with a (heavily) weathered gen dial I picked up a decade or so ago.

The case was worked and worn and played with by Johnny Lazar, and the wear goes well with the dial. Gen 700 crown in fantastic shape with Athaya tube. I had to remove the dial feet to fix it onto the ETA 2452 movement I decided to use for the project. Random worn and bleached insert. The strap is hand was hand made by myself.

Wears very nicely, and was a fun build! Keeps time and is super reliable so far. Only thing I have to finish on it is haw to better secure the movement inside the case as the 2452 has no tab screw holes.
