I'm getting on the hype jubilee bandwagon - here are some pics of my superfranken Batman on Jubilee bracelet that arrived today. I will probably never own a Pepsi anytime soon so this will do me for now. Funny how only 4 years ago when I was shopping for a gen rollie the saleswoman at my AD was telling me jubilee bracelets are best suited to older (50+) men and that I should pic the oyster bracelet models... because jubilee wasn't meant for young professional men - or maybe she was just trying to get me to buy a sports model (which ended up working because I bought a TT sub).
Anyway, this is the BP BLRO Jubilee GMT mounted on the donor noob CHS case.
Some observations:
- SEL could be better but it looks acceptable to me
- the blingyness of the PCL draws the attention of your eyes (I like it)
- I was surprised with the quality and feel of the BP clasp; I thought I would have to swap out to my ARF clasp but the BP is almost as good, and definitely better than the noob CHS clasp - so I just left as is. Even the easy link feels close to my gen bracelet
- surprised by how little wiggle and stretch there is in the bracelet. I have another "gen spec" vintage jubilee bracelet and it has alot more give. When I compared the wiggle (hold clasp and jiggle the bracelet horizontally and notice how much the bracelet flexes from the horizontal) on this vs my hybrid noob / ARF GMT oyster bracelet that is usually mounted on this watch I noticed they were almost the same. Very sturdy jubilee.
Will take some pics of this on my Franken hulk tomorrow (v6s donor case).
