Still undecided b/w Noob vs ARF bezel

"unit per hour" seems more gen on the noob

What do you guys think?

Noob is thinner and slightly darker. Arf has thicker type and whiter.

To be honest I think the noob looks neater to my eye but I need to see it alongside a Gen to really take a view .

Curious where you got the ARF dial separately - even the v2 is still a bit too fat but I am letting it slide for the movement/working chrono. Would definitely like to drop an ARF dial into the Noob though if I got my hands on a new dial by itself.

Awesome thanks I am about to order the Noob Daytona - just waiting for confirmation they can still get it as a separate part and what the price is for the part.

jb3 when you take a look to my comparison post (#999) in this thread
you can also see the dial from ARF and the bezel from ARF installed in the Noob Daytona.
I got the ARF 116500 white dial from supermirror (TD) and the ARF 116500 ceramic bezel from MrTimeZone (TD)

I am on the fence with the bezel - what really pushed you to do the bezel too? If I am going to send it off for work I would rather do both at once but I am not totally sold on needing to change out the bezel =)

The ceramic bezel on the ARF is much better. The engraving and the color of the engraving is more like the GEN.
Noob bezel is in my opinion to "light" for the text color. So the entire ceramic bezel looks a little bit off.
You can compare with my comparions thread and also the older comparsion thread I have also linkes again (see therfore page 67 of this thread)

The Noob Daytona looks with the ARF dial+bezel much better than stock. When you compare with these moddings, you are much more to GEN look.

The ARF bezel is much better on the 116500. The noob has improved with v2 - the triangles are slightly bigger - but the engravings are too shallow. The S and E in UNITS PER are far more accurate on ARF.

On the 116520 there's not a huge difference now, and besides there's so many variations over the years it's very difficult to judge. Both are fine.

Nur-Uhr I see it exactly as you do, for that reason I have an ARF bezel, dial and bracelet....but no noob 116500...yet!

Just going to get the Noob 116500 v2 (white dial) for the time being and then decide if I want to go the route of dial/bezel. 40mm is pushing it for me from 43-44mm but this watch is just too damn nice to not give it a go. Worst case I will just resell it here which I doubt will take long at all considering the current demand for it =)

guru can't thank you enough for this thread after spending a few hours reading through all of the posts - sincerely appreciate all the feedback along the way from everyone contributing to this thread.

The font thickness and style on the ARF are closer to gen. The Noob has a little foot extension on the bottom right of the letter 'R' on the bezel, like the text in ROLEX on the dial. The ARF does not, neither does the gen.

Who sold you the bezel on its own?

Got mine from Francis @ Mrtimezone!

Noone cares in this thread but I think the main flaw on the white ARF dial is the color. ARF dial is a little bit dark white sort of light gray but the noob dial has exactly the same color as gen dial. This is the main flaw for the ARF dial and you may realize the difference only when you take both watches in your hand side to side.

Looks like ARF has changed the bezel on the latest batch.
We know that the v1 bezel was very good, V2 bezel was ok and better then noob. I ordered a couple off the latest ARF SS bezels and it looks to be, that they are improved compared to V2 and maybe back to V1. Take a look, my 116520 with franken with ARF V2 bezel, QC of the latest batch bezels
