guru are there any definitive pictures of the ARF 116520 v1 vs v2 bezels? Wondering how close the v1 is to gen compared to Noob since the noob seems to be the worst of the bunch.

ARF v2 on left, right v1
Noob v1 is bad. ARF v1 is the best. I do not know why ARF updated the bezel to make it more gen like , lol

Yes, the Noob v2 bezel is a lot better, only “UNITS PER HOUR” seem still made with a wrong font.

I also believe the dots are too close to the edge of the bezel on V2

Thank you so much guru for your inputs ! I am looking to start my build on a 116520 black dial, a gen crystal and gasket are already on their way. For the dial I don't want to spend too much so now I am hesitating between the BP and ARF dial - which one would you recommend ? cheers !

Take whatever you can get, ARF is not easy to get. Both better as the black noob dial

there is no updated on a thin case back from ARF , your dreaming ...
They need to use the old caseback because of the rotor which is sticked to this fake bridge which NOOBODY
really care about.Have not seen anybody putting a glas caseback on this watch.

I know the dial is not 100% correct for the 116500 but many gen owners converted their 116520 to a ceramic version.

Talk to your TD, this is how they look for a 116500 built

Could you tell me the difference between a Black 116500 Dial and a Black 116520 Dial?

Red font for Daytona is slightly different
Sub-dials are less shiny on 116500
Rolex spacing is slightly different on the 116500, more spaced out on the 116500

of course, just check out the position of the T of the OSTER below the ROLEX....
also, the subdials are not shiny......
So converting a 116520 with a ceramic bezel is ok but does not meet the gen 116500. I built one but I will use the dial in a 116520 and use a ARF 116500 dial in that built. Gen dials, if you get one, are 3k and I will not pay that.
