I'm glad that my post has stimulated so much creativity.
The watch is beautiful and I accepted it. My only concern was that it could have been a known problem or defect to be avoided.
Now I'm quite sure it's not.

When we blow up these watches to 50 times their actual size, we see lots of defects. You will see that Gens are not perfect when blown up to huge sizes as well. In reality, they are so small and you just cannot detect many of these "flaws" with the naked eye. Most of these high quality reps are incredible today. 99.9% of the general public will not know the difference. Just glad we have these awesome watches to enjoy.

I've got one of these coming in a few days and can't wait. Hope it looks as good as my BP Explorer I.

Yeah nice update. Is this A2824 or 3135? The date font looks ok not ugly bold. Is it a new one you just got? Is the midcase still a bit chunky?

Edit: I see now the font is bold on the new one but nice on the old one. You can never have your cake and eat it too i this game

I hope that since this is an A2824 thread that this is an A2824 and not a SH3135. Cos I just ordered an A2824..

Hopefully sometime in the future if ARF gets the darn DW right then we may really have a winner as which is the best 116610 rep.

I think they would need to fix the chunky midcase as well and stop going backwards on things there were already fixed. But that is probably never gonna happen. Where is that picture above from stufuse ? It's a world of difference between the dials. The new one really looks a lot better.

Old one is modified, GEN DW. New has the regular AR date they’ve always been the same some just have poorer printing making them look bolder.

Midcase is fatter yes, as shown in other threads but in hand it’s negligible compared to Gen and I did. What I did is I’ve tried a few of the other makers too before I cast any judgement. Noob, VR, DJf the overall fit and finish of the ARF just feels like a luxury watch. The hands and dial, insert are pretty unbelievable for a rep. Others can have flat hands or hands too close to the dial, The pearl isn’t ugly and sticking out, insert is spot on too for engraving colour etc, Even with the marginally fatter case, I’d choose it anyday over the others. Just my opinion of course. All subs need xtal mod!
