They will in the future Agnus wrote it in another thread that the 2824 will not be produced after the stocks runout and only 3135 will be available that happened because the case factory produced 10k 2824 cases which were "wrong".

Yeah, I heard this rumour in another thread - it makes no sense to me. A couple of TD's tell me they sell 3 x as many ETA clones than they do manufacturer clones - so why move away from the market? Also ARF use the 2824 in the DSSD, and the SD4K as well. A mistake there too?

If it was a mistake, then presumably they have 10k SH3135 movements lying around? And they would then needed to make different dials, hands etc. to fit the 2824. Surely simpler to melt the cases back down and start again?

DSSD will be dropped too.

They use the case for the explorer versions aswell (look in the explorer thread) i think they problem is the case factory make 10.000 cases and then they will be put together in batches etc that would make sense to me, so they must wait until the 10k are sold to make the other case it comes from angnus so i dont think is would lie (why should he?).

Not saying anyone's lying - just seems an odd move when most seem to prefer ETA clones. I guess they then only have to make one version, and hope they don't lose business to Noob's ETA offerings. Anyway, what do I know...

from what i understood, majority of buyers not in forums ,want a clone movement. We on the other hand we want a stable movement

Anyhow, we are lucky we got them if they don't launch them again with 2824s

I really wish arf could fix the cg shape it bugs me as it's the biggest tell.
I think they will update the case soon

I’m sure when they release the SH3135 116610ln the case will be updated. I mean, it has to be to accommodate the movement, right?

Got my Qc pictures this morning, looks decent to me. The rehaut lines up and the Bezel numbers don’t appear to be too far to the edge, not as much as some early ones anyway. Pearl may be slightly to the right or it’s my eyes.

My ARF sub is now on its way for tube swap, swap to gen xtal and gen date disk. The excitement... Will be pretty much as good as it gets without a 3135 I guess.
