Rolex Gen has been dropping the ball quite a lot. New stock is crappy for 8k+ Gen Rolex factory QC is a joke now

I have to admit i am really liking my ARF.The flaws to me are not that important while the strong points really step up the quality.
Insert is perfect in my eyes even if not ideally centered numbers.Sub is small watch especially comparing to some 46 and 44 diameter watches i was wearing, and it cannot be seen on the wrist.Lugs are super.
Dial printing again might be not that bold but with all the gen dial variations i dont mind.
The crown not positioned perfect again is a small flaw which can hardly be seen .I could always change to WM9 tube and bring it closer if i wish later
datewheel sucked and was the thing i changed asap along with the crystal
clasp is not perfect, if u force the glidelock will slip, maybe i will try a noob one later.
Overall to my eyes is excellent ,while i could never live with V8-9's lugs and white insert numbers.
Ofc it's personal choice, what bothers you more , can be insignificant to another person.

Great thoughts and a good point we often forget. The positives of a watch 1/10th the cost of something it looks nearly identical too

purchased mine earlier from sead. Seeing all this zoomed pics you forget just how much smaller all the details are when the watch is on the wrist.

The only thing you need is a gap ring between the two Datewheels, otherwise the GEN datewheel sits too low.

You are not far from the truth. Its a company that is tax free and non profit. Therefore they need not to disclose gains or loses or anything period. Staff gets a very generous salary. Hence they moved to Switzerland and became a swill factory. Very smart, too bad greed makes them save more money and drop quality by doing so through the years. They figure they are well established have followers and supporters so its a win win.
