3135 Barrel Bridge, click screw stuck

Guys, some help requested from the smiths on here. I was reassembling a 3135, screwing in the click to the barrel bridge, and the screw head popped off, leaving the body of the screw in the barrel bridge. I can get a new screw (3135 5115) for a small price, but I need to remove the headless screw.

Any ideas on how I can do this? I thought about trying to put a blob of superglue on top and then trying to unscrew using the superglue top once it had set, but I really don’t want to risk getting glue anywhere near the barrel bridge.

Alum powder is what you want. Mix some up with water, and drop the bridge in. It will eat the screw after a few days.

Alum will take a lot longer than that too eat that screw. I have attempted that a ton of times and never works well. There are actual screw drivers that can chase out the screw. They come in sets.

IF145-118-1

Very simple too use and work most of the time.

Thanks for the suggestion, do these things work on such a tiny screw? 1mm?

Yea. It does for me. I have tried the Alum thing and it didn’t work. The alum works well with crown and stems.
