So as the title says, I just wanted to share some pictures of two Noob DD 40’s. I’ve yet to see much discussion of these particular models on the forums, especially compared to other popular Rolex models so I figured I’d help a future buyer out with being able to see consumer photos rather than what we receive from TD’s.

Only the YG version is mine, as the other belongs to a family member. Overall, I can say that we are both very happy with our purchases thus far. There’s a lot of debates on the forum about Noob vs BP for the day-dates, but as its been said before, it all comes down to preference and what flaws you are willing to live with.

The photos aren’t that great as I did not have the proper lens handy at the given moment, but they’ll do…If anyone has questions regarding general ownership of the watches, let me know!

is the YG DD 40 wrapped or simply plated, how long do you have it and if its plated how is it holding up?

WatchCool90210 Didn't want you to think I forgot about you - its been a busy past few days but I should be able to get some new pics this week for you.

padorkous I've had the watch for exactly one year. It's the plated version, not sure if Noob even makes this watch in a wrapped option or not. The plating is holding up fairly well - I'll try to highlight in the pics the one area that seems like it may start to wear off first but overall still solid.

Pics below! The last picture u can see inside the red circle of the area that looks a bit weak with the plating. But after a year of use (avg about 8-10 wears a month) I'm okay with that.

Thanks a lot! They are pretty good, could you post some from the inside part of the bracelet and where the clasp and the case connects(with the bracelet ofc)?

padorkous Yea no problem, I’ll get you photos of the inside of the bracelet..just to note though, there are zero signs of wear there. If you look at the 4th picture I posted, you can see the minute wear on two links but of the side of the bracelet. Look for the red circle I added to the photo.

Just so you guys know, There is not such thing as “gold wrapped”. It’s just fancy marketing talk for it supposedly being thicker gold plating. It’s either plated or gold filled. And none of the TD’d seem to have any real specs or proof of plating thickness. They just all say “5 mil” or whatever and they don’t even know what that means. There’s a big thread about this that I believe is stickied somewhere here. Sometimes the gold plating isn’t even real gold. I have the BP DD40 and it’s really nice. Heavy and well built. But the color looks a little off like it’s too orange to be 18kt gold. I don’t wear it much at all but there’s zero wear so far. If you are worried about the gold wearing off then a good rule of thumb is that the better factory and the more expensive piece is going to have the most durable plating. Hopefully.

https://forum.replica-watch.info/for...gold-sub-guide

scroll down on that page and read what Tripdog has to say. He explains it well. “Gold wrapped” is a term made up by Chinese replica factories to sell watches.

Versaceboy54 I would really like to hear your thoughts on the diagona silver motif dial vs the silver roman numerals dial both in terms of accuracy to the gens and your personal standpoint.
