Has anyone else had a job and half getting the screws out of the bracelet? For my fellow UK members, in true Reg Presley style, I managed to stick a screwdriver through the end of my thumb.

Hey guys I just got my QC pics for the SD43. Got a video of the guy cycling thru the dates.. everything looks spot on. Including the bezel. I am being told however that it's a v2. Doesn't make sense from what Im reading... any thoughts. Obviously there cannot be two different v2's right?

Also, I know everyone says to stay away from the 3135 clone movement.. or at least most people. Can anyone speak to the 3135 movement in the SD43? Much appreciated.. Scotty

Here’s my new SD43 from Ryan. I have added gen crystal and gen click springs, everything else stock, the dial was misaligned to the rehaut, but I was able to correct this by loosening the movement screws and rotating the movement 1mm. I have sealed the HE valve from the inside for water resistance. My thoughts are:

Bezel mechanism was weak until I installed gen crystal and click springs, now it is a very secure firm fit.

The bezel insert is simply amazing, even better than my spongebob. SEL fitment is perfect. Dial perfect, hands as perfect as you’ll find on a rep. I compared the crown against a gen crown and there is no difference. The clasp is superb, carefully bevelled. The bracelet is solid. The only other thing I may change to gen is the DWO. However I think the date font on this is good!

Interested on the forum feedback :).

Happy to take more photos if anyone wants to see any specifics.

Looks amazing. Why isn't this watch on the NWBIG list? Its absence makes mockery of it IMO...

Where did you find gen crystal? Are Gen click springs necessary for the crystal?

I got the gen crystal on m2m. I was very lucky. No the gen click springs aren’t needed for the gen crystal, but they make an incredible difference to the solid fit and working mechanism for the bezel. I’ll try post a video of the click action a little later.

Pombok Out of curiosity, how did you go about sealing the HEV? Epoxy?

I simply used a good quality superglue (gorilla) and a precision needle applicator. Filled up the recess leading to the HE value from inside. Had it clamped sideways up and left it for a few hours before continuing to work on it.

Did you ever getting around to making that video? The first batch have a terrible bezel spring system, an instant tell.

Lmao - ‘misaligned rehaut’ is such an RWI trope. Sometimes I think Rolex introduced it just to troll this site. The rehaut is fine - amazing watch.
