I've seen worse. Not even Rolex gets it right 100% of the time. When they do though, it should be lined up a little better than it is...
If the RINGLOCK is separate from the case (not all are), then this looks like it can be adjusted a little more to be just right.

Here's a neat "interpretation" of the DEEPSEA.... with a Submariner dial.
It's the Polizia di Stato SD dial.

I almost posted no fair posting a gen photo until I saw that you mentioned that already. It's great to see a gen owner being so cool about all of this- Personally, I don't see why so many gen owners get all excited about reps, except at those that try to sell them as gens. What they don't realize is that we are as determined as they are to prevent others from being scammed by idiots who try to take advantage of others who are unaware. Welcome.
I bought my watch for me not anyone else. I searched for a Sea Dweller Club on the internet and this thread popped up so I registered to see the replicas they are very good. I really looked at mine and could only see the difference in the pearl and the lettering in the case, it is not engraved on the genuine it is printed and it is engraved on the replicas but you would really need to own one and concentrate on them to pick it out. I don't mind if their are replicas out there, it is a good looking watch and not everyone wants to spend 10 grand on a watch. Is their a big market for replica watches? I always knew their were fake Rolexs out there but I did not know that replicas now are so good that you really need a magnifying glass to see the difference.

I have read a lot about the Replica DSSD on this forum and I have a question does anyone here have contact a actual manufacturer and if they do has anyone asked why they cannot get the pearl right. The only thing that really sticks out to me to show it is a Replica is the pearl. Why is it so difficult to manufacture I have really looked at mine and I do not really see anything that special about it. Do they just think it is close enough and thats it? If not for the pearl and the engraving on the Escape Valve lettering you would not be able to tell the difference between a gen and a replica.
