It’s very hard to compare such dynamic dials using pictures....which is what I keep telling people on the JF15400 thread [emoji6]

Is there a later version on the noob v2? Or silencer updates?

AFAIK there was a V7 which had recessed SEL like a Submariner but after that batch sold out, they went back to the correct SEL height as the V2. This was a quiet fix from Noob drowned in the noise of the ARF 126600 with its 904L goodiness and over-all higher quality; super-rep level replication in the very first attempt.

Ah ok. Thanks for that.

Yes the ARF SD43K is awesome BUT I can’t live with the Chinese hour surrounds/hands after being spilt by TCKH. It’s the same reason why I sold the noob SD4K. If KH can do it, then the Chinese should also be able to do it but instead they’re focussing on repoing movements etc

Sponge-bob mod looks very good indeed. I’ll give it a go on the Noob SD4k.

Crystal:
Looks basically the same. Clarity is comparable. The gen crystal has a slightly more blingy raised edge.

Bezel:
It’s hard to compare bezel teeth because my gen has been polished and looks MUCH shinier.

Hands:
Gen are slightly more 3D and perfect looking but rep are very good indeed.

Conclusion:
The noob SD4k 116600v2, A3135 (not ETA version) is definitely a SUPER-REP IMO. Just stop reading and get one! With a sponge-Bob insert mod, the rep is just as good as gen. I will keep the gen since it’s a short lived/discontinued model and I’m sure it’ll be worth more in years to come. For day to day wear, I’m happy with the rep.

I cannot tell any difference. The SEL's a bit but only because this community harps on it...beautiful watch.

Definitely NWBIG...

I think the "tell" are the oversized hour markets (both the circular and the rectangular ones, the 12 hour marker looks about right). I am not sure whether this would be obviously without side-by-side gen comparison...

Has anyone tried putting a 3135 in the Noob v8 2824? I want to build a super-Franken (gen 3135, gen dial, gen hands, gen bezel insert). I do know that the crown height is identical, question is have they "reused" the V7 SA3135 case and kept the 3135-groove or not....
