Help needed!

I had ordered a JF 23j caseback a while back as well as a 7750 rotor and screw but couldn’t find the time to put it all together till today.

Once the deco plate removed I put back the movement clamps/tabs but no matter how much I tightened them the movement was still a bit lose. As for the rotor (also tightened to the max) while spinning, it would rattle against the movement. After taking it apart and putting it together again the exact same thing still happens. I gave up and put the new caseback on to see the result. Now it completely blocks the rotor and holds the movement securely... So for now the watch has to be manually wound.

Would appreciate any help or suggestions, I have seen many modded ARFs around that don’t seem to have these issues!

Only positive thing: the watch is now 12.61mm versus 13.23 with the old caseback.

Could you take some pictures of the case back off the case side by side for us. I wish to see if the actual slope of the caseback are different or just the bottom of the case back a bit thicker only .
thanks

It’s really hard to take pictures that show it but it’s not only a difference in height, the slope/angle is definitely a bit steeper on the ARF if that’s the answer you were looking for.

Quick question about the crown setting position.

My ARF 116500 seems to have an extra setting position so not sure if this correct or if there's some kind of fault. Pos 0 - screwed in as it would usually be. Pos 1 - unscrewed and I rotate to wind the movement. Pos 2 - A definite click out from pos 1, rotation is loose (and doesn't adjust time), seconds still ticking, serves no obvious purpose. Pos 3 - quite hard to pull to this position and it only comes out a small amount but when I pull hard enough the seconds stop and I can adjust time.

Is there some issue here where there should only be 3 positions, the pos 2 being a hacking, adjusting position? Anyone know what's up?

It's a modified 7750 with date functions hence additional crown setting

You could have it modded and removed if it bothers you

Hello guys, I am having a small problem with my ARF since I got it a few weeks ago.

The watch is stock, no mods no service. when I pull the crown to change the time and I push it back after setting the time, the subdial hand for the seconds does not move. It is like the stem wouldn't release the hacking. I noticed that whenever this happens, I can't hear the balance wheel ticking with the pallet, whic confirms my suspicion that the hacking is not released.

Normal stuff for this model? Anyone with the same problem?
