A7750 Daytona Curiousity

Just out of mere curiousity... on the modern a7750 daytonas how come nobody removes the rotor and converts to hand wind and use a slimmer case back OR is the 23j midcase what makes the JF do much thinner? YES it won't be period correct AKA not automatic... but you retain the working chrono at least which some members do not want to give up.
