GMT nightmare lol... some local shop offered me a noob gmt 2 3186 at a very great price.. after reading this matrix here and sending the link to him, shop dares not touch the watch and i dare not buy it though i really liked it while ago.. LoL.. frozen...
So given the complicated and risky setting, beside wearing it all the time and/or winder usage, do we have other solutions? Good luck users!

Just for information: I am wearing a CHS Noob GMT with 3186 inside as a daily for two years now.
I nearly do not use the individual hour hand setting for date change - I use instead the normal time setting also for date setting when I did not wear it for longer time.
==> everything fine until now.
But I have to mention, I sent the watch after receiving to my watchsmith / modder for service. So I am not sure if it is the result of a full serviced movement or of taking care of of both of this.

So when you take care and follow the "rules" of how to set the time for this movement = everything is fine

Wonder if TDs and/or TDs runners know the “rules” when they wind/adjust/test the watch before shipping it out

I would bet most of them know enough about this movement to not touch it in crown position 2. I sure would not, totally unnecessary risk.

Affirmative! I have my strongest doubt our "TD"s check the movement in the 2nd crown position before delivery.

Is there an option to Quickset the date on the A3187?

Or is it solely via jumping the hour hand?

There is no clone A3187, it's the same 2824 CHS timebomb that is the subject of this post. It just has a fake engraving of 3187.
