Noob GMTII CHS rep bezel vs gen bezel

Hi All - ever wondered how close the noob GMT2 rep bezel was to the gen bezel? I did...so I bought a complete gen bezel assembly for the 116710LN to put on my noob CHS.

Must say noob did a damn good job on the watch. Have had no issues on the movement or the adjustable jumping hour hand. Bezel clicks are tight and crisp like gen in either direction - i like to play with the independent gmt hour hand and bezel everytime i visit an AD [emoji2]

I'm going to franken this bad boy with a gen bezel and gen dial that I have and eventually gen hands but before i do that here are some pics of the gen bezel compared to rep bezel. Pretty damn close except gen bezel numbering is slightly brighter - otherwise I would say unnoticeable on wrist unless you are comparing wrist to wrist with someone who is wearing a gen.

I have the same watch and it quickly made it "almost" to the top as my favorite piece. I got one off m2m about a month ago that had been serviced (after crapping out - shocking, huh?). It is now the best running non-gen piece I have.

I have been kicking around doing something with the bezel but after seeing this comparison, I just might not. Thanks for the post!

Pretty close, however I've always wondered why the reps have slightly thinner numbers than the gen bezel? If they corrected this, to me it would be practically undistinguishable

I have frankened mine as well. its amazing how the bezel changes it from just a watch to jewelry. I would do the crystal first, hands, then dial. in order of noticeable differences after that. the datewheel font is perfect and when centered, its perfect. have fun!

its nearly identical to the Gen aside from the font slightly and the color of the plat paint. on the back is where it really gets different but the 24 cam retainer is almost exactly like the GEN, Over all I would say they did pretty good with this watch. I have mine fully frankened and I love it !!

Gen markers look wider because the paint is on the vertical surface as well as on the horizontal surface of the indentations.

Imho the rep bezel doesn't come close to the gen. I have gen bezel and it transforms the watch.

Rolex crown logo on dial looks rep. Date is left justified like a rep. SEL PCL is long like a rep.
Hour and minute hands look flat like rep. And cyclops show too much glare as if no AR.
Bezel looks good.
Hand stack?

These ceramic bezels scare me.
I feel like theyd just shatter explode if hit at a certain angle.

Rep with gen bezel. ICHS most accurate watch I own and that includes 2 gens recently serviced. Might sell soon after purchasing another gen.

Great Beasy, thats the first thing I upgrade on any rep. Love noob, plug and play with all gen parts.

Every ceramic rollie rep needs a gem bezel assembly and a gen crystal.
