Gotta have me one of these one day!
So, just curious about why these don't get the love of collectors that others do?

This is a bit unrelated but I have a 16800 sub and you guys are experts on them. Can someone tell more info about it?
I'm mostly curious what Rolex RSC changed out with its last service. I'm 99% sure they changed out the dial but not sure if anything else was done. Anyone know much they devalued the piece by doing that? I bought it from the original owner who got it in 1984.

Great post!

I had a 16800 built using the ST3135 case a few years ago. I have to say it’s been flawless.
Mostly gen parts & runs a Y3135 with the cal3135 open 6 & 9 DW- yes, very rare indeed.

Still trying to find a set of reasonably priced 593 but I have the 501b’s until then.
The biggest upset was discovering the dial is a reprint on a gen plate, but such is life. Perhaps one day I’ll find the right dial.

Beautiful watch. You have a Luminova dial, Luminova hands and a Luminiova insert - all replaced at service time no doubt. The crown is an early 704, so not original to the watch. Still a beauty though.

Yes, that's an 'eBay refinished' dial, dial plate is probably not gen either.
