If you go with a sub, get a V7 from Noob. You can get it from any TD here.
A2836 or SA3135? Your call. The only people who'll EVER notice the difference in the CG difference between the 2836 & 3135 are the watch nerds here. Nobody else will EVER know.
The 2836 is a work horse. Any watch guy can repair it, parts are interchangeable between gen eta & rep. Or, replace with a genuine eta if you so choose. My point is, there are infinite options.
The SA3135 gets mixed reviews at best. The case is more accurate. It'll accept a gen movement or a yuki 3135 that you can buy from Tickleshoes . If the SA3135 breaks, you're screwed. The only option is to franken it as mentioned above.

Sent from a remote corner of the world using a series of clicks, grunts and generous amounts of profanity

This is why you stick with the 2836. I'm always concerned if the movement breaks the cost of fixing it would be frightening. I would consider frankening it but that also means big money.

Any updates on the ND dial?

Here's my V7. I don't think this exists in gen versions.

See the legend "oyster perpetual date" on a no date watch... it's wrong.

@smoke
Wouldn't it be valuable to add the new, actual Noob V7 dial which is sub-par to the previously used 4 month ago? (like you explained in my QC thread yesterday?

@smoke which SubC have the best insert? (Noob, BP or JF)

In my opinion, in the Noob v7 insert the numerals are very grayish and not platinum.

It throws me back :(

Thanks in advance!

@smoke ... take a bow!
That's the best thread that I've read so far on this forum.
Walked your OP with the better half who is an eye surgeon, to explain the subtlety of changes and differences in just one variant of one model.
Comment was "that gentleman has the best 20/20 vision in the world!"
Many thanks for keeping us educated [emoji120]
