Hey boys question on bezel inserts. I’ve got a blue but came across a sweet black spider dial so decided to go with a black conversion for awhile. So I ordered a gen 16613 insert and got this. It super yellow what’s the go? There seems to be a mix even with blue inserts where the numerals can be white or yellowish. Is there any reason for it?

Isn’t that insert a superluminova?

Regarding the numeral color. New inserts have gold numerals and hash marks and with time they fade these will be Tritium pip inserts.

Thanks guys. You know I pushed the button on the insert without considering the tritium dial and hands. Any tips on fading the insert safely? I’m in Abu Dhabi it’s summer and like 55degC outside. I wonder if a few weeks would take a few shades off... not sure if I’m ready for bleach approach.

faded Inserts with Luminova PIPs are a no go. I’d sell that and buy a tritium insert. The spider dial deserves it !

I think you’re right. But I got the insert fairly cheap. I’ll try a sun fade while waiting for a tritium to come up. I still think the new insert colour looks more yellow than gold. Ugly.

I’ve tracked down a decently priced tritium insert. In the mean time I gave this one a little treatment to take a few shades off the numerals. I reckon it looks heaps better. Thoughts?

How you put the bracelet on without lug holes, that is a hollow end links correct?

There are different end links made for lug hole watches as well as no lug hole watches. They have little grooves on the back to allow a tool to enter and remove spring bars
