Looks like a nice piece bro, thanks for the post.

Glad to see some real competition for the CF. That bezel assembly has so many things wrong with it. Once you clean off the half tube of grease it won't rotate at all. I've had to shave down all of the supporting pieces

- the bezel tension ring (washer) inside diameter is too small, it wont fit flat around the retaining ring
- the 3 pin click ring is rough, especially where the oval pin bases meet the retaining ring scallops and on the bottom where it slides across the washer
- the retaining ring teeth are rough, I shaved them down a tad then polished them smoorh.

So you either leave the grease bed or finish the parts properly.

Every GMF GMT Ive had has good bezel action without a bit of grease. Here's hoping that trend continues with the V5. I'm looking at picking one up, maybe the 126711 CHNR. Enjoy yours!

I thought I was the only one…. I wish I hadn’t cleaned the excessive grease though as now the action is damn stiff…. Maybe I’ll check the GMF out

Yes VR indeed. The first generation one that we've called the VR3185. Rock solid movement, take it every time over everything else.

Wow nice one. That's a very nice bezel. Thank you for the pics. I have a batman GMF V3 and despite the clone 3185 inside that is not supposed to last long, mine has held up perfectly for over a year so GMF is good in my books!

Which - if I have read your post correctly - we should not do and we should stick to the VR3185

Big advantage of this over the CF is bezel construction. So depending on what you prefer this GMF v6 is a very nice option

Tried to take shots in some other lighting conditions for the good of the group.

The bezel & insert are definitely the winner on this watch.

I already have a gen B25-295-CAR-V5-C1 crystal I’ll have installed.

The rehaut & lug engraving are nagging at my OCD so I may end up snagging a CF pepsi or batman to compare & see which stays.

Why so little hype for this watch? Bezel and insert is what makes the Pepsi special. And CF thread has many pages yet the insert is horrible and the bezel horrendous. Is it because GMF not a recognized factory?
