Left is gen, right is rep by T factory. As you can see, these problems are also inherent with genuine, sometimes even a perfectionist has to settle. Best of luck.

People that do this have never owned a gen, anyone that has purchased a gen knows they come with minor flaws too. I bet both my speedy and my ap diver would get rejected by this guy.

Most would reject the gen Submariners I have bought from an AD. 1st one (14060m in 2004) had a tiny fleck of metal shaving attached to the crystal just above the 11 marker and the insert did not align perfectly at 12. They fixed that (the metal shaving).
2nd one (116610 in 2018) the date was high on all numbers between 1-15, 16-31 it would be perfectly centred. The AD said it was within tolerance.

Spend some time on the Rolex forums and you'll see threads every week or so with folks reporting a flaw.

Best one I ever saw was a new Explorer (or was it an Air King?) with a 9 instead of a number 3 marker.

Gen 116710 I've owned since 2007. You can see the date is closer to the bottom than the top. Side to side it looks pretty even, but I didn't go through any of the other numbers. Just grabbed it from the safe for a quick pic and this is where it was. Yes gens have flaws, if you call this a flaw. Doesn't bother me a bit.
