Magician himself :D do you mean GEN 3230 parts? Thank you for your reply

Yessir! :)
There’s no 3230 clone as far as I’m aware so you got to go gen/swap the whole thing for a VR3235 you can mod with VR3130 parts (not recommended)

Okay so how much would cost to make VS3230?

VS can be modded using 3230 parts, and VR using 3130 parts. Both will work!

Thank Nik!
Question: Do you know the part number for 3235 case screws? I need a set.
And does anyone make a 32xx aftermarket winding stem that you know of?

Mine just arrived from Trusty . Overall quite pleased, very well made rep. I agree with SEL mid link being a bit flat. I doubt most civilians will notice.
Crystal is not quite as good as VSF I think. The milky gasket ring seems improved. I didn't weigh but feels heavier than my VSF Starbucks.

Hi all,
Just joined this thread after my order with Li at Jtime.
QC should be in in 2 days.
I'll share them here.
Hopefully all will be good.

Just got the notification that my CF 124060 has made it to the US postal service and should be here by next week if not sooner. Very excited as this will be my first rep (except for the VSF Kermit that I bought M2M scheduled to arrive tomorrow).

Makes for a very good week. I think I’ll resist the urge to post pictures out of fear that everyone’s well intended criticisms/observations will alert me to flaws I would never notice on my own.

Was hoping you'd be able to do a comparison of the vsf Kermit with your Clean no date.

I made a typo. It’s a Cermit (I just can’t get behind calling it a Starbucks).

.
How to make a gen crystal for a 124060 project in 6 easy steps.

1.) Get a gen 126610 crystal.
2.) Drink a shot of your favorite liquor (per KJ's suggestion).
3.) Pray to the watch gods that this stupid risk will work.
4.) Light your propane torch.
5.) Heat crystal and remove cyclops and clean off remaining UV glue with acetone.
6.) Drink another shot to celebrate not ruining anything.

Nice execution, haha!

Bro I know it's too late now to measure your gen crystal completely but it should be the same diameter as the CF. Would you be able to post the measurements of the two outside diameters?

Rolex used to include the number of the lower stair-step diameter into the part number. For example the 116610 29.5mm gen crystal is B25-295-C12-C1.

But since ths gen 126610 crystal is B25-7017-1-C1 you can't know the diameter anymore.

It's also interesting what you posted about the upper edge bevel, it sounds like the 126610 gen is now like the 116710? The 116610 crystal has a different bevel.

CF and gen were same diameter and thickness. The gen crystal gasket is far superior in toughness and stiffness. The cf gasket is soft by comparison. I’ll be home in a few days and look at my notes and take pics of the beveled edge.

Just received the QC pics, first time I'm ordering with Jtime, usually I go through fat panda.
What a disappointment, I used to have very details QC pics with the inside, the lume, close up with FP and here nothing, 2 videos and 11 pics not even a lume shot or a close up on the rehault. I don't know if it's because we're close to CNY but...anyway I asked for more pics.
Let's see how they come back
Have a good day.

Has anyone installed a CF 124060 dial on a VSF 126610? Is it possible? Worth it?

I don't know whether anyone has actually done it but people are talking about it in one of the VSF/CF Sub threads. It should be doable with some (minor) mods to the VS movement I would have thought.

A cf 124060 dial is gen spec and fits a gen movement perfectly. Gen dials fit vs3235 movements perfectly so the cf dial should be plug n play on the vsf 126610. I’m not sure what you’re accomplishing though. The cf is extremely well made. The vs crystal is more gen-like though. The cf hybrid/clone 3230 movement looks impressive but don’t expect 70 hrs power reserve.

I’ll do a more in-depth comparison with pictures a little later, but wanted to get my instant gut reactions down while they are fresh.

In my opinion (which is in no way expert), the VSF is easily superior. The VSF clasp and sel alignment are far superior. The VSF bezel is also pretty close to perfect with nice resistance and a beautiful sound. The CF bezel is much looser and doesn’t sound as nice. Finally, the CF crown feels crunchy like something is grinding when unscrewed and screwed down.

That being said, the CF is a very nice rep and I will wear it without hesitation, but if I had a choice between the two I’d take the VSF without a doubt.
