Are VSF 126610's Now Considered To Be "Rare" For Resale Valuation?

So, at least one of our TD's is selling VSF 126610ln's for $888. Profiteering or establishing the current value for a "rare" piece? Does that mean that those watches are now considered to be "rare" and can be sold here by our members for the same price? Thanks!

I sent my vsf 114060 to my watchmaker for service. He said it runs perfect, there’s nothing that needs to be done….only time He’s ever said this. I also have a gen no date and the vsf really is that good.

Make sure you QC the CGs and the cyclops closely. It's pretty easy to tell a fake VSF 126x Sub even with all the me too contenders out there.

BTW my VSF 126610 LV is getting a new VR3235 installed soon. I've had nothing but trouble with the movement despite adding some gen parts. I'm not alone with that experience.

People are paying $1.2K and more for Noob Daytonas so I guess an $888 VSF is par for course as long you really get one.

Wow no kidding? I thought the vsf was it as far as movement goes. I’ve got vr movements in most other reps. Fell much better about that now.

What parts did you add & what issues were you having? Prepping to franken a VS3235 so this is disconcerting

On the two I have, the stock balance was unstable and with repeated adjustment got so far out of timing and beat I could not recover. Perhaps the balance became out of poise. I don’t know, but with gen balances and bridges in both they run perfectly. The one I wear has been running perfectly for 9 months.

KJ can elaborate on his experience.

Crazy. They are popping up on the classifieds for far less. Just have to be on your A game!!!
FYI this will likely be temporary. VsF will likely pop up slowly again when the heat settles

Good to know! Pretty much ordered the same parts in your build:

3235-145 - Auto Module w/ Rotor
3235-270 - Cannon Pinion
3235-432 - Balance
3235-120 - Balance Bridge
3235-421 - Pallet Fork
3235-410 - Escape Wheel
3235-315 - Barrel w/ Mainspring

I have a JVS on the way, would really prefer an A2824 to the rep Rolex movements.

Post #2587, and maybe 5 - 10 pages forward

https://forum.replica-watch.info/for...83#post9698683

In the process of fixing the winding issue, the top pinion on the escape wheel broke, requiring a gen replacement. It wouldn't work with the rep pallet fork, requiring a gen replacement.

I also had balance issues. The first time I touched it to regulate it, it went out of spec beyond reason and I never recovered it. I was lucky enough to get a second rep balance but now 6 months later it is sluggish and stops sometimes without good reason. I completely stripped down the movement, cleaned and lubed it before putting the second balance in.

My first attempt at gen pallet fork and escape wheel failed. It ran +300spd with 8.0 beat error and wouldn’t respond to any adjustments. I put the vs parts back in and it runs fine. Later I tried it on my other vs3235 and it worked perfectly and the parts are now in there permanently. I don’t know if I made an error the first install or if there’s a difference in the two vs3235s. Just letting you know if something like it happens with yours.

I can't find the original post in the Hont section. Where did you get it? Thanks
