...than removing the packing plastic from a new piece! Just received my CF BLRO! The piece will be going away for an oascom build next month. Having a meteorite dial, gen insert, gen crystal, and gen hands installed. We'll see what other parts I can find in the next month.

Way to go:) When it came to VSF watches, I loved the ASMR way of unwrapping those warches. But TC wrappings where like hell haha;)

It did indeed! Straight from the AD. I believe the cost is justified with builds that I consider to be my grail pieces (like my 126660 d-blue with gen dial) but they do quickly encroach on full ROO build cost.

Hey sir! Congrats on the embarking on the project!

Just out of pure curiosity, will you be swapping out the Bezel and Jubilee out of the CF for something like a noob or looking for gen?

I personally find the Bezel play and bezel movement bad as well as the sharp finishing on the jubilee very off...

Nevertheless, please share with us the completed project and hopefully the progress too :)

I do plan on aquiring a gen bezel as well as possible gen jubilee if I can find one at the right price. TBH I am not as skilled as some of the others in smaller tells, so neither the bezel nor the bracelet bother me that much. I need to verify that all of the GMT II family utilizes the same bezel assembly and I should be in business.

Only the BLROs have a bezel lip, so if buying a gen bezel be sure to get one of those. Both the current model SS Pepsi's (Oyster and Jubilee) have the same bezel. BLNR and LN bezels do not have the lip so would not be appropriate for your Franken.
